Relays and contactors control the functions on a hot tub or pool system. They are usually located on the conrol board. They can fail over time. Often when something on your spa doesn’t work it is because the relay or contactor did not work. If you are handy and know how to test for bad relays and contactors, you can replace these and save yourself from buying a complete new board.
Sensors tell your pool or spa if what it is being asked to do is being done. For example the temperature sensor on your spa tells the heater to turn off or on based on the temperature you have programed and the temperature that it is sensing. If it is lower than what you have asked for it tells the heater to turn on. If it is the same as what you want it tells it to turn off.

It has a varible light display that just makes the spa seem just a little more luxorious. And we all can use a little more luxury. Lighting is a small thing that makes your experience more enjoyable.
For the man who thinks he has everything, here is one more item to add to the list. And it is useful too! A sand filter sand vac for removing the sand sounds silly, but when you use it, you will love it.
The sand in your sand filter should be changed at least every three years. Changing it every year is even better. One of the main reasons for not changing the sand is that it is a back breaking job. It is messy. It is time consuming. and in general it is no fun!
The sand filter vac attaches to a garden hose and allows you to remove the sand from the sand filter easily. There is less chance of breaking the sand filter laterals. It is easier to maneuver in the small opening.
Premier Spring Pumps are used for whirl baths and some spas. Once you locate the parts for them they can be easily repaired. This will save you from buying a new pump.

Letro is a manufacturer of booster pumps. Booster pumps are used with pressure pool cleaners. They have been around for awhile and there are many older pumps out and about. They have a number of small parts that break over time and these parts are often difficult to find because the tags on the pump are worn or torn off.
Harvey shows how to find the part that you want by using stamped in numbers on other parts of the pump. If you can find these stamped in numbers on any of the parts you can use those numbers to narrow down your search for the correct pump and then by using diagrams of that pump find the part that you need.
Finding your proper filter for your hot tub doesn’t have to be a problem. Finding your correct heater element can be as easy picking which kind (coil, flow thru, etc) it is and then looking at the pictures to find one that matches yours. Then look at the detailed information for that heating element and make sure the size in inches, the rating in kw and the voltage match what youare looking for.
